Why did I open Sundays?

Sunday’s are the newest addition to our day availabilities at Innova Osteopathy. And it may seem like a strange day to choose, but I truly enjoy working on a Sunday.

Prior to opening up Innova, I worked in another clinic where I worked on a Sunday for several years, and while at times it was inconvenient working on a day most other people had off, I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed that the day didn’t feel as stressful, clients were also more relaxed on the Sunday, which overall made it a great day to work.

It wasn’t a new thing for me either. Prior to working as an Osteopath, I worked in a boarding kennel in Panton Hill, which as you might guess, someone had to work Sunday to look after the dogs and the cats!

Growing up in Kinglake with animals, there aren’t really rest days from doing jobs. Each day is just a different day and you make things work depending on what suits your schedule. That was how I approached the decision to add a weekend day.

I ran poll through social media to see what the consensus was, asked a few clients their thoughts, weighed up my own schedule and overall, the opinion was that we all choose to make appointments wherever they most conveniently fit in our schedule. (There were also a few more votes for Sunday compared to Saturday).

Which is how we ended up with a Sunday!
